Krishna Consciousness Manââ¬â¢s quest to make sense of our existence and master questions of spirituality is a pervasive theme in the history of humankind. While the spiritual system associated with the first society of human life form may never be known, every group of people throughout history, regardless of location, has attempted to understand esoteric knowledge. Although written history only covers about seven thousand years of humanity, there is evidence of this search for understanding dating back some twenty-five to fifty-thousand years. In fact, the recent scientific findings of evidence leading to the existence of the lost continent Atlantis, coupled with historic accounts of Atlantean lifestyle from philosophers such as Plato to contemporary scientists throughout the world, have revealed a society dating back some seventy to one hundred thousand years in which there was an emphasis on the ââ¬Å"Law of One.â⬠Ironically, modern scientists, specifically quantum physicists, are scientif ically discovering the truth asserted by this ancient spiritual systemââ¬â¢s underlying thesis which stated, ââ¬Å"â⬠¦everything is the same energy expressing itself in different forms.â⬠While inklings of this simple, yet immaculate notion were embraced later by various spiritual sects, fundamentalist beliefs of the three major world religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, place a higher emphasis on separation and isolation than unity and connectedness. With over half of the worldââ¬â¢s population and nearly eighty of the eighty-one percent of American religious constituents adhering to one of these three religions, it is no wonder why there is so much violence, poverty, and turmoil worldwide.
